How To Adjust Rebound (REVO ARC)
To understand what to set your rebound to on the REVO ARC, it's important to grasp what you're adjusting with this setting.
In all shocks, damping is essential to counteract the negative rebound effects that occur after a spring has been compressed. Without damping, the shock would feel excessively bouncy, akin to a pogo stick. We achieve damping using an oil-filled damper to slow down the shock's return to its fully extended length after compression. By restricting the rate at which the shock extends, we increase the force necessary to extend it after compression.
The REVO ARC allows you to change the rebound rate of the shock. Adjusting this setting essentially alters how easily oil flows through the dampers, resulting in a change in ride quality—either bouncier or less bouncy. To illustrate, imagine a basketball filled with air. When bounced on the ground, it rebounds relatively quickly, similar to shocks operating with more rebound (7 clicks out). If you release some air from the basketball and bounce it again with the same force, it rebounds more slowly, resembling shocks operating with more damping (1 click out).

On REVO-ARC models, there are 7 positions or "clicks" of adjustment. Position 7, 7 clicks counterclockwise from fully clockwise, results in the most rebound, while position 1, being 1 click out counterclockwise from fully clockwise, leads to less rebound/more damping. Position 7 allows oil to flow through the damper more freely, while position 1 restricts oil movement more.
We recommend starting with rebound settings at 3-4 turns out from fully closed (clockwise) for your initial test ride. From there, adjust based on road conditions, riding configuration, or style by turning the dial. Maintain the same rebound setting on both shocks equally.
Rebound adjustment is purely rider preference. It's your role as the rider to experiment and determine your preferred position.
When adjusting compression or rebound settings, only adjust one setting between test rides, not both, to minimize variables.
