We often receive inquiries from customers looking to lower their bike from the stock height with our coil shocks. In most cases, our coil shocks aren't really going to lower your seat height by much, unless the shocks you have on your bike currently are 13" in length. Currently, the shortest coil shock we offer is the 12" REVO or REVO-A.
With our 12" REVO or REVO-A, we recommend 1/2" of sag, meaning once the shocks are installed, you or you and your passenger are sitting on the bike, and your sag has been properly set, these shocks will measure 11-1/2" between the center of the top mounting bolt to the center of the bottom mounting bolt.
In order to determine how much your seat height will change with our 12" shocks, you will need to take a measurement from the center of the top mounting bolt to the center of the bottom mounting bolt on your current shocks with your weight on the bike. Compare that measurement to 11-1/2", and that will let you know if our 12" shock is going to lower your seat height or keep it about the same.
