Improper Mounting
One common issue we frequently encounter is the incorrect mounting of our rear shocks.
To determine if the shocks are mounted correctly, the first step is to ensure that they are not mounted with the large OEM flat washers (as shown in Picture 1). Instead, the shocks should pivot freely on the spherical bearings, and only the spacers provided by Legend Suspensions should be installed in the correct orientation, as indicated in the specific installation guide for your product.
Using anything other than the Legend-supplied spacers can lead to binding of the shocks and result in a poor ride quality (as illustrated in Pictures 2-4). If you don't have the installation guide on hand, you can easily download it from our website www.legendsuspensions.com/products. Simply navigate to the product you have, and you'll find the install guide in the "Product Downloads" section for that specific product.
If you find that the OEM flat washers were installed, please inform us immediately. This improper installation can cause the shock shafts to fracture due to the binding that occurs when the shocks are mounted incorrectly with the OE flat washers. We're here to assist you in ensuring that your shocks are mounted correctly for optimal performance and safety.
